You may stand or kneel for the prayers of the people. As you share your concerns and thanksgivings, please speak clearly so that we may all pray with you.

First, let us name before God individuals who need our prayers.

We also pray for:

• all those serving in the Armed Forces in places of violence and danger
• those on our parish prayer list asking for special prayer at this time (read names from list)
• and those elderly parishioners who are housebound (read names from list)

We pray for nations and peoples throughout the world. Please name those countries or peoples for which you desire prayer.

We also pray for those in positions of public responsibility, particularly:

• Mitt our Governor, and other state and local leaders
• George our President, and other national leaders
• and the United Nations and its leaders
