Greetings from the Latin American Council of Churches (CLAI) and the Latin American and Caribbean Communication Agency (ALC).
CLAI is an organization of over 150 churches (Anglican, Baptist, Congregational, Evangelical, Lutheran, Moravian, Mennonite, Methodist, Nazarene, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Reformed, among others) and Christian organizations from 21 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Begun in 1978 in Oaxtepec, Mexico, CLAI was formally founded in 1982 in Lima, Peru, with the objective of promoting Christian unity.
In an effort to increase dialogue and relationship between the churches and organizations in Latin America and those in the English-speaking world, we seek to share information that links people and churches in the English-speaking world to the reality of the church in Latin America.
As part of this effort, CLAI and ALC are offering a service of free news releases by email, in English, that highlight Latin American churches’ interaction and involvement with the social, political, and economic realities of Latin America. These occasional news releases can be delivered to your email address as they occur (option A) or weekly (option B).
If you are interested in subscribing, please respond to CLAI, indicating which option you prefer, at chris@claiweb.org.
As well, if you know of others who could benefit from this service, CLAI would be very grateful if you would please pass along this invitation to friends and colleagues.
In peace,
Christopher Morck
